ABLE Charitable Hospital has been established to help and provide for poor, disabled, destitute, vulnerable and underprivileged people especially children, women and old in the villages around Faridabad district region, one of the most deprived regions in India.

ABLE Charitable Hospital is a 65 room, 40 bed modern hospital built on seven acres of land and open 24 hours a day. The hospital has a built up area of 35,000 sq. feet. There are currently 10 doctors on its payroll. The patient consultation fee at ABLE Hospital is Rs.5.00 per patient (just about ten cents).

Presently ABLE Charitable Hospital has the following medical facilities available and fully  operational.

2.    Cardiology Dept. (ECG, Holter Monitoring, Stress/Exercise Testing)

3.    Dental Dept.         

4.    Dermatology Dept.

5.    Ear, Nose & Throat Dept.

6.    Gynecology Dept.

7.    I.C.U.

8.    Orthopedics Dept.

9.    Pediatric Dept.

10.  Physiotherapy Dept. (Rehabilitation with specialized equipment under the qualified physiotherapists).

11.  Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology, Ultrasound, Duplex Doppler Imaging).

12.  Surgery Dept.

13.  Laboratory (Complete diagnostic facilities are available on the premises).

Presently Able hospital treats about 20,000 patients a year and carries out about 400 operations annually. Next year our target is to treat 40,000 patients. Where as our  consultation charges are just Rs. 5.00 a patient, the cost of operation is just about Rs. 5,000.00 ($125.oo for Gall bladder OR stone in the Kidneys). Nearly 8% of work is totally free for the very poorest patients.

In the year 2005 we approached various hospitals for helping the poorest children with major heart ailments in the villages Apollo, MAX ESCORT FARIDABAD and AIIMS came forward to support the project. Hence we got 8 very poor children operated with a minimal cost of Rs 65000 each ($15000).

For want of funds this programme was discontinued though people even today approach us for help

ABLE Hospital has been working at different levels such as medical camps in the villages consultation and basic treatment to the widows and pregnant ladies in the villages, provision of important medical support such as hearing aid to the deprived, and facilities of operation at nominal cost of about $125.

If any one would like to join the movement in procuring the old medical equipment OR funds so we can set our own Hospital and thus get the poorest operated upon by qualified doctors from big private Hospital who have promised to do free operations if we can set up the equipment.
